Just seen something similar here In OKC. Just got on the turn pike, and out of the blue, I see this barrel looking thing flying up in the sky maybe 200ft up and about 1/4 mile from me with dark black smoke and flames just roaring. I have never witnessed such quick destruction in seconds first hand right when it happens. It was right behind a residential area and at the time I couldn’t even begin to wonder what someone would have on their property in the middle of the city that would cause that kind of explosion in this kind of housing edition. Come to find out, it was a tank battery that was situated in a field right behind the housing edition just not as big of a setup as the one in your video. It started raining shortly after that and helped contain the fire and put it out fairly quickly.

It’s so crazy that from a distance tornadoes look kinda slow and graceful. Then you zoom it or it gets close then you realize the scale and the crazy sandblasting winds.

It took about 9 seconds for it to hit the ground after Exploding, that mf when so high

My dad and uncle were in the fence line that’s in Dawson county my granddad was in the tanker blowing the horn telling them to get out

I remembered this one. The hail was tremendously bad. My skylight was busted out along with the wind deflectors on my truck and both mirrors.

I have driven past the debris field 2 miles west of Chapman on the south side many times and it still staggers the mind... the one that devasted Chapman just 6 years earlier caused me to stop by City Hall and make a donation to their tornado relief fund. You are always in the bullseye in central Kansas! Great video!

All it would have taken while sitting stopped sideways on a major interstate would be a speeding chaser or a 1/2 asleep trucker and you could have had a Tbone with that tornado.

This was when I was born holy cow
